MESSAGES FOR US
 Dear friends,
I feel sincere gratification by the fact that patients with
cancer in Varna have a cosy home which offers the opportunity to be
together in their efforts to adopt the serious diagnosis and prolonged
battle with it.
I want to express my special thanks to the
Municipality of Varna which supported the creation of the Home of the
people with cancer, called by them "Our Home".
I am
convinced that the support of society, people from civil and social
organizations are crucial to thousands of Bulgarians who bear the heavy
cross of the treacherous disease "cancer". It helps them to not feel
alone, isolated and doomed.
I truthfully hope
this place will give solace, hope and courage to all in need of advice
and empathy. Timely moral support and advices from those who have
fought back the disease are the direct and most influencing way for the
cancer patients to cope with stress and problems, procedures and
therapies which are part of the treatment. The professional consults
with specialists will teach patients and their relatives how to manage
at difficult moments in their changed daily life.
Let us be together in the fight against the disease in the name of life!

 Dear friends! When
a person gets in trouble he most strongly feels the need of a friendly
shoulder, a good word, or advice from those who have already been
confronted with the cruel twists of life.
In its desire to
be a part of the citizens of Varna, the Municipality of Varna supported
the creation of the Home of the people with cancer in our city, and it
turned into a true source for hope.
The support center is a
place where the patients communicate with each other, talk about the
changes that happen to them during procedures and therapies, about
their happy moments, and about the difficulties in ensuring medicine.
It is a place where they recharge themselves with the courage to fight
the disease!
Every individual is needed by his
relatives, his family and the society in which he lives. If this
support center manages to return smiles to the faces of patients, to
give them hope and faith, it means that we have succeeded at least a
little in our desire to be with you in the fight against cancer!

 Our true followers and friends,
This
is my message to all who will show interest and desire to learn about
the life and activities of the only Home of the people with cancer.
Every
written line for the organization is our history. The story of my life,
of your life, of our lives together and the support we receive. It
is my great honor, together with all of you, to create the story of the
Home of the people with cancer. This is a process of birth, of growth,
and of the development of a new community - one of cancer patients,
their relatives, and their friends.
Only until a few years
ago nobody talked about us above a whisper. The future of cancer
patients was determined in advance, suffused in problems and
helplessness. We felt guilty, redundant - our sentence was pronounced.
This is already history. Today our problems are on society's agenda. We
are met with understanding, support, and commitment. Although not as
speedily as we might wish, we are able to solve some of the most
serious issues faced by people with oncological problems. Increasingly,
individuals, institutions and organizations express their absolute
support to our cause. This makes us stronger, more confident, and more
motivated to fight the disease and to end the battle as victors.
On
our joint behalf, I would like to ask anyone who wants to support us or
feels the need to get involved with this community of cancer patients
to do it with care and affection, rather than pity!
Each helping hand is our hope for tomorrow!
