It
is wonderful to give a smile!
|
On the eve of June 1st, the day
of the Child, members of the Cancer Association and
followers organized a visit to the children with cancer problems
staying at the clinic of oncohematology at St. Marina Hospital.
This initiative was motivated solely by our desire, we women survivors
of the treacherous disease, to personally, on the eve of Child Day,
give little warmth and good merry moments.
Children always need hugs and a lot of
attention ... rather than possessions.
With this modest gesture we tried to give our love and empathy to the
young patients with health problems similar to ours.
We sincerely hope we managed to bring into their difficult hospital
lives positive impulsion which they need in the daily fight against the
disease.
We wanted even only for an hour or two to give them our emotional
support.
We wanted to give our faith and hope which accompanies us as partners
in our lives in remission.
We wish heartily these dumb associates needed in the difficult
treatment to be present in the lives of the children who need not only
life-saving treatment but also a smile.
It is wonderful to give a smile at this
difficult moment of their lives!
We couldn’t have handled the best way we wanted in this little holiday
without the voluntary cooperation of the Puppet Theatre in the person
of its Director Vera Stoykova.
For the festive mood of all children who attended the celebration,
personal care was taken by the actresses from the Puppet Theater Diana
Staikova and Emilia Petkova.
Their contribution for the multicolour helium balloons and bags full of
the most loved by the children sweets gave our friends - young ladies
who often stand behind the cause of the patient organization - Martina
Hristova and Ludmila Vasileva.
