| On the
initiative of the patient
organization of the people with cancer of Varna, who carry the heavy
cross the treacherous diagnosis of cancer under the patronage of the mayor
of our beautiful city, Mr. Kiril Yordanov and because the International
breast awareness month October which was about to end, we
initiated and set the start of a charitable project to collect funds to
buy a moveable echograph. This device is extremely useful and valuable for the ability to carry out preventive examinations, including single and difficult moving patients from the city and our region. Thanks to the cooperation of famous individuals, friends and peers supporting our noble cause, our fellow citizens united in the fight against cancer, so we can win from it!   On October 30th 2008 from 18.00 hours at the entrance of the Sea Garden we and our fellow citizens sent symbolically our commitment to those already affected by the disease, by releasing hundreds of balloons. Once again this year, many people took up their hands to the sky and let their hopes fly. We hope the balloons will fly each year and we believe they will fly as long as there is hope for us all!   In those filled with love and kindness moments, we prayed for those suffering, with faith and blessing for their healing!     Reminding of us, the ones who have overcome the illness, we supported people with destiny similar to ours with the message - "We succeeded, you will succeed, too!"   Through the media, we urged to call upon our citizens as we will always do: "Stop the fear of examination today to win a life for tomorrow!"   From 18.30 in restaurant Cristal at the Festival and Congress Center, before the patroon Mr. Kiril Yordanov - MAYOR OF THE BEST CITY TO LIVE - VARNA and members of the Initiative Committee to the Charity project: Mrs. Vanuhi Arakelyan - Chairwoman of the Varna District Court; Mr. Veneamin Serbezov - Businessman; Priest Teodor Stoichev - Sv. Uspenie Bogorodichno Church; Mrs. Sonya Nikolova - Regional manager Alpha Bank - Varna; Mrs. Hristina Dimitrova - manager Eibank - Varna. and our official guests: Miss Denitza Dimitrova - MPs of the 40th National Assembly; Mrs. Yordanka Yunakova - Mayor of the District Mladost; Prof. Dr. Lydia Petkova - Chairwoman of the Committee Social Affairs and Housing Policy in Varna City Council; Mr. Svetlozar Georgiev - Chairman of the Military Court - Varna; Mr. Milen Slavov - Chairman of the District Court. and in the presence of many representatives of NGOs, donors, friends, associates and members of the community of the people with cancer, we reported the results since the start of the Charity project.   Dear fellow citizens, dear unknown friends of all ages, SINCE WE HAVE NOT YET COLLECTED THE NEEDED FUNDS TO FINILIZE THE PROJECT, WE TURN TO YOU WITH OUR REQUEST – INVITATION TO SUPPORT US IN OUR CHARITY IDEA AND MAY THOSE WHO ARE WILLING DO CONTRIBUTE TO FINISH THE PROJECT SUCCESSFULLY IN THE RUN-UP TO CHRISTMAS. THE PROJECT CONTINUES ... UPON COMPLETION OF THE COLLECTION OF MONEY, EACH DONOR´S NAME PARTICIPATING WILL BE SIGNED IN A SPECIAL BOOK OF DONORS, WHO HAVE HELPED US TO BUY THIS EQUIPMENT WITH THE VERY IMPORTANT GOAL - PREVENTION.
